We're Having a Boy! Gender Reveal Details
It’s a BOY!
My husband and I found out the gender of our baby about a week and a half ago. We wanted to be the first to know, and wanted to have time to process it as a couple before sharing the big news with our friends and family. With Covid happening, Adam hasn’t been allowed in any of my doctor appointments. Ugh! It’s been so tough having to go in alone, and then having to relay all the information back afterwards. Luckily, my doctor allows me to FaceTime Adam from the parking garage below so he can be a part of some of it :)
Anyways, the last appointment I had included the ultrasound where I got to see the baby for the very first time! I had the ultrasound technician write down the gender of the baby in an envelope so that Adam and I could open it together afterwards. I got in the car after the appointment, and we drove down to the beach with full anticipation of what our baby would be. It was so exciting, yet so nerve wracking!
We got down to the beach, laid out a blanket, said a prayer, and then finally opened the envelope. In it contained the letter indicating it was a boy, as well as a few ultrasound photos. Adam and I were SO shocked, because we 100% believed we were having a girl. We were immediately filled with so much joy and started dreaming about our future little man.
Below is a photo we took on the beach, right after finding out the gender!
A week later, we had our gender reveal party! We had to keep this huge secret for a whole WEEK, you guys. Our friends and family were all pressuring us to give in and share the gender, but we wouldn’t budge. We wanted the reveal to be special and we wanted a week of only the two of us knowing.
Once people arrived to the party, we ate lunch (catered by Luna Grill), chatted, and had everyone make their guess on baby Wagner’s gender. The way people made their guess known was by choosing a cup that had a pink onesie or a blue onesie on it. Then, it was time for the big reveal! We used smoke bombs (the kind that are biodegradable, don’t worry!) that emitted blue powder into the air. A gust of wind sent the powder right back into my face when I did mine, HA! It was so much fun, and I’m really glad we did it this way.
The day of the reveal will forever be a special day in our hearts, because it was filled with so much love, support, and excitement with all of our friends and family. Below are photos from the day, as well as decor details.
